Tekstraton is seeking an experienced Full-Stack TypeScript & Node Engineer to join our growing product engineering team in Waterloo, ON on a hybrid model. In this position, you will be instrumental in architecting, developing, and maintaining high-throughput web applications and microservices that power our core platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable back-end services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Develop modular, responsive, and performant user interfaces leveraging modern React frameworks.
- Architect robust data models, manage migrations, and optimize queries using PostgreSQL.
- Collaborate closely with product management, UX designers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver features end-to-end.
- Drive code quality and system resilience through automated testing, peer reviews, and adherence to CI/CD best practices.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of professional full-stack software development experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
- Proven track record building modern single-page applications with React.
- Strong relational database experience, particularly schema design and query tuning in PostgreSQL.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and deploying to cloud infrastructure such as AWS.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical industry experience.
- Ability to work on-site at our Waterloo office 2-3 days per week.
