Tektend LLC is seeking an experienced Kubernetes Platform Engineer to design, scale, and manage our cloud-native infrastructure in San Jose, CA on a hybrid schedule. In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing our internal developer platform, ensuring resilient cluster operations, and empowering engineering teams with seamless, automated deployment capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, deploy, and administer multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Build and maintain declarative infrastructure and continuous delivery pipelines utilizing Terraform, Helm, and ArgoCD.
- Develop custom Kubernetes operators, admission controllers, and platform automation tools using Golang.
- Implement enterprise-grade observability, distributed tracing, and metric collection using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
- Collaborate with security teams to enforce robust container security standards, network policies, and RBAC governance.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience in Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure.
- Deep, hands-on production expertise with Kubernetes internals, CNI/CSI plugins, and CNCF landscape tools.
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and deep operational knowledge of AWS.
- Demonstrated software engineering capability in Golang or Python for automation and tooling.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
