About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Software Engineer to drive architectural excellence and frontend development for enterprise-scale digital experiences. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with Adobe subject matter experts, architects, and multi-functional engineering teams to implement modern, high-performance web solutions using Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS) and DA.live.
As a technical lead, you will serve as the guiding force behind code quality, frontend performance, and standards definition. You will design robust component architectures using Lit and Web Components, solve complex technical challenges, and ensure maintainable, high-impact software delivery in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive technical alignment with internal leadership, Adobe SMEs, solution architects, and engineering teams.
- Review, architect, and apply EDS/DA.live patterns and best practices across modern web implementations.
- Resolve complex technical and architectural decisions, balancing delivery velocity with long-term scalability and maintainability.
- Define and enforce development standards for EDS blocks, Lit, and Web Components to ensure modular and reusable solutions.
- Guide engineering teams on frontend performance tuning, SEO optimization, code quality, and technical best practices.
- Conduct code reviews on critical PRs and high-impact changes to uphold architectural integrity and security standards.
- Act as the primary technical escalation point to troubleshoot bottlenecks, unblock engineers, and resolve complex defects.
- Mentor developers, champion modern engineering patterns, and foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- 7-10+ years of professional software engineering experience with deep expertise in modern JavaScript and web technologies.
- Proven hands-on experience with Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS / AEM Franklin) and DA.live architectures.
- Strong background in building custom, high-performance web components using Lit and native Web Components.
- Extensive experience with Git, GitHub workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and pull request review best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to architect reusable block architectures and optimize Core Web Vitals and frontend performance metrics.
- Outstanding technical leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to align multi-disciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working within Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystems or Frame.io integrations.
- Familiarity with serverless architectures, edge computing, and modern CDN implementations.
- Experience leading distributed development teams in fast-paced Agile environments.
- Active contributions to open-source UI libraries or component design systems.
