Zipporin is seeking a high-caliber Next.js & Python Application Lead to spearhead the architecture and delivery of our enterprise web applications from our San Jose, CA office (hybrid). In this role, you will bridge technical strategy and hands-on execution, guiding cross-functional teams to build resilient, high-throughput microservices in Python alongside blazing-fast, responsive user interfaces powered by Next.js and TypeScript.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement robust full-stack solutions using Next.js, TypeScript, and modern Python frameworks (FastAPI/Django).
- Mentor and lead an agile team of engineers, fostering an engineering culture anchored in clean code, testing, and operational excellence.
- Design and maintain secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs, managing seamless integrations across distributed systems.
- Optimize web performance, rendering strategies (SSR, SSG, ISR), and backend latency to ensure optimal end-user experience.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cloud infrastructure engineers to define technical roadmaps and project milestones.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of full-stack software development experience, including 2+ years in a lead or principal capacity.
- Demonstrated mastery of the Next.js/React ecosystem and modern Python backend services.
- Strong experience with cloud architecture (AWS preferred), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Deep understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and caching layers (e.g., Redis).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience, with the ability to commute to our San Jose, CA office on a hybrid schedule.
