Zipporin is seeking an experienced Next.js & Python Application Lead to direct technical strategy and full-stack development for our core platforms. Based out of our San Francisco headquarters on a hybrid schedule, you will guide an elite engineering team, bridging high-performance Next.js frontends with robust, data-intensive Python backends to build modern, user-centric web applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable, reliable web applications utilizing Next.js, React, and Python microservices.
- Serve as technical lead, conducting architectural reviews, establishing coding standards, and mentoring junior to senior engineers.
- Drive performance optimization across client and server tiers, maximizing SSR/SSG rendering efficiency and minimizing API latency.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, and DevOps teams to deliver innovative features from concept through deployment.
- Oversee automated testing, continuous integration, and cloud-native release processes to ensure enterprise-grade stability.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2+ years in an engineering leadership or technical lead capacity.
- Expert-level proficiency in Next.js, TypeScript, React, and modern frontend state management.
- Demonstrated mastery in backend engineering with Python (FastAPI, Django, or Flask) and asynchronous workflows.
- Solid experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), schema design, and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), Docker containerization, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work in-office on a hybrid schedule in San Francisco, CA.
