Tektend LLC is seeking a skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our expanding technical operations team in Austin, TX on a hybrid basis. In this role, you will partner with DevOps, platform engineering, and security leadership to design, automate, and sustain robust security architectures across our cloud-native environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, implement, and monitor robust security controls and guardrails across AWS cloud environments.
- Automate security scanning (SAST, DAST, SCA) and compliance checks within enterprise CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Audit, optimize, and enforce least-privilege Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies and role configurations.
- Assess and enhance container and orchestration security across Docker and Kubernetes workloads.
- Lead proactive threat detection, vulnerability remediation, and cloud incident response activities.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of dedicated experience securing multi-tenant AWS cloud architectures.
- Demonstrated experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to automate security baselines.
- Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go for security automation.
- Familiarity with industry security frameworks and standards, such as CIS Benchmarks, NIST, and SOC 2.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, CCSP, or CISSP) are strongly preferred.
- Ability to commute to our Austin, TX office under a hybrid working model.
