Tektend LLC is seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join our engineering and infrastructure team onsite in Tampa, FL. In this role, you will architect, implement, and continuously harden cloud environments, ensuring enterprise-grade defense across our multi-cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain robust security guardrails and architectures across AWS and Azure environments.
- Integrate automated security testing, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks directly into CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Define, implement, and audit Identity and Access Management (IAM) controls, role-based access, and least-privilege policies.
- Monitor Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and Cloud Workload Protection (CWPP) tools to remediate misconfigurations and potential threats.
- Collaborate with DevOps and SOC teams to triage, investigate, and remediate cloud security alerts and incident escalations.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in cybersecurity with a minimum of 3 years focused on cloud security architecture and operations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in configuring native security tools across AWS (GuardDuty, Security Hub, IAM) and/or Azure (Defender, Sentinel).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation utilizing Python, Bash, and Terraform.
- Firm understanding of network architecture, zero-trust concepts, container security, and industry compliance frameworks (SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001).
- Relevant industry certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or CCSP are strongly preferred.
- Ability to work full-time onsite at our Tampa, FL office.
