Tektend LLC is seeking a skilled Python Microservices Developer to join our engineering team in Dallas, TX on a hybrid schedule. In this role, you will drive the design, development, and deployment of resilient, high-throughput distributed microservices that power enterprise-grade applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, build, and maintain production-ready RESTful and event-driven microservices using Python and modern frameworks like FastAPI.
- Containerize microservices using Docker and manage deployment pipelines targeting Kubernetes environments.
- Integrate asynchronous messaging protocols and data pipelines using Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Optimize backend services for latency, throughput, reliability, and horizontal scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, architecture, and DevOps teams to uphold code quality, security, and CI/CD best practices.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in Python.
- Proven track record designing and maintaining distributed microservices architectures in production.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
- Strong proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and caching technologies (Redis).
- Solid understanding of automated testing frameworks, API design standards, and version control (Git).
- Ability to work on a hybrid schedule based out of Dallas, TX.
